Drafting a Contract with AI: How Praven Intelekt Produces Legal Documents in Minutes
How the Praven Intelekt Contracts Module Works
Unlike general-purpose AI systems, where the end result depends on how well you phrase your request, Praven Intelekt is built to carry the entire weight of the process for you.
It all begins with an intelligent search of our own database, which contains only current Bulgarian statutory instruments and case law. This is how we guarantee that every contract rests on the law in force. (Read more about the technology in our previous blog post on legal research).
Next, our legal prompt engineering technique (legal prompt engineering) kicks in - a method of designing and structuring the requests sent to the AI model so that it returns the most accurate and relevant result possible. With general-purpose AI systems, the quality of the final document depends entirely on how the user frames their instructions. If those instructions are incomplete, unclear, or poorly structured, the result is often inaccurate or incomplete.
At Praven Intelekt we have automated this process, so you don't need to know how to "prompt" in order to get a legally sound document. The system itself formulates and submits to the AI model a series of internal, precisely crafted instructions that guide the generation of the content. It starts with a set of targeted questions for you - about the specific clauses, deadlines, terms, and particulars of your case.
Once the minimum necessary information has been gathered, Praven Intelekt generates the structure of the contract and then builds the text paragraph by paragraph, applying the relevant legal rules and wording in the right places. The result is a fully formatted, ready-to-use document, without you ever seeing the system of internal processing steps.
Step by Step: Drafting a Contract
1. Select "Draft a contract" Choose the contract-drafting option from the platform's three main modules (the others are Legal Research and Contract Analysis).
2. Describe your request Write the type of document you need - for example, an employment contract, a lease agreement, or a confidentiality agreement. You can use either legal or everyday language - the system will understand. For example: "I want an employment contract for an accountant."
3. Answer the questions Praven Intelekt will ask you a series of specific questions - about the term, the payment terms, the risks and interests to be taken into account, particulars regarding termination conditions, and more. Your answers are the foundation on which the contract will be built.
4. Review the proposed structure You will receive a draft outline of the contract so you can confirm it contains all the key elements. You can edit the proposed outline simply by describing the changes you want. The system will then generate a new proposal and will produce the final contract only once you have confirmed the structure.
5. Receive the final document The system will generate each paragraph individually, integrating the relevant legal rules. At the end you will see a complete, formatted contract, ready to use or to edit further. All fields that still need to be filled in (including the parties' personal data) are highlighted in yellow for convenience.
What Are the Benefits?
Praven Intelekt enables the rapid creation of templates and contracts without having to start from scratch. This is especially helpful for preparing standard documents that are otherwise time-consuming but recur frequently in practice - such as employment contracts, lease agreements, or confidentiality agreements.
Typically, the entire process - from the request to the finished text - takes under 5 minutes. The system is designed to draw on the most up-to-date legal information available and to propose text aligned with the applicable regulatory requirements and the specific case.
Soon we will add the ability to automatically draft other types of documents as well - internal policies, terms and conditions, motions, applications, and more - so that we cover as wide a range as possible of the needs of attorneys, in-house counsel, and business clients.
