Overview

The Praven Intelekt API exposes the legal-research pipeline behind our product as a small, versioned HTTP interface. It is designed for server-side integrations that need Bulgarian and EU legal sources, not for embedding secret keys in a browser.

Private beta: The OpenAPI specification and documentation are public. You can create an account and activate a production Launch or Scale plan while we continue end-to-end metering and reliability validation. Evaluation access remains invite-only.

• Restrict searches by source family, court, judge, and publication date.

• Start an asynchronous answer job that returns a Bulgarian answer grounded in cited sources.

Integration model

All API endpoints are versioned under this base URL:

Most requests use a pi_live_… API key in the X-API-Key header. Search and answer calls can take tens of seconds because they run retrieval and relevance models rather than a keyword-only index. Answer generation is asynchronous.

Your backend sends a query, the API retrieves and ranks legal sources, and the response gives you both relevant excerpts and stable identifiers for full-document retrieval.

Plans

Launch is the lowest-priced commercial API plan, while Scale is the best-value self-service option: it includes 20–24% more core allowance per euro, three times as many active keys, and a 150 requests/minute limit. You can activate either plan from API access. Invite-only evaluation allowances may be provided during the private beta, but they are not a production plan. Contact us for a custom plan.

Launch and Scale customers may opt into usage beyond the included volume: EUR 1.20 per additional search, EUR 0.02 per additional full-document retrieval, and EUR 3 per additional grounded answer, excluding VAT. You choose a monthly overage spending cap in API access; overages are disabled by default. Included allowances and overage spend are pooled across all keys in the account.

The API access page uses your main Praven Intelekt account. From there, you can purchase a plan, create and revoke keys, and open the Stripe portal to manage billing. The same authenticated endpoints are documented under Authentication if you need an internal automation flow.

Stability

The /v1 request and response models are additive contracts. Existing fields will not be removed or repurposed within v1. A breaking change will use a new versioned path. The API is still in beta, so latency targets, quotas, and commercial terms may change before general availability.

The API returns legal information and source material. It does not replace professional legal judgment and must not be presented to end users as legal advice without appropriate review.
